Dear Saffy
...who thought I could love you as much as I do?
You told me your limitations (that you would shrink 20 % after washing)
and you did just as you said you would.
You told me that you would fade and soften like a pair of jeans. You held to your promise.
And best of all, you fit me like a glove.
So, no embroidery after all for Saffy. I worked on the bullion stitch and in the end was happier with her a little less embellished that what the pattern called for (go figure!). No modifications to the pattern. Details in finished objects.

Awww.... so beautiful! Definitely oooo-worthy!

Wow, it really does look incredible. It actually looks better on you than on the pattern model! How rare is that!?!? (for me, it's very rare) But I do love it and I think you're exactly right about the embroidery.

Everytime you post about Saffy, I think of the poor girl on Absolutely Fabulous. And your saffy is fabulous. The fit is lovely and I'm so glad the shrinkage worked out just as you thought.
