I searched everywhere and the socks that I was working on for my nephews have been lost. They are not in the house, not in the car, not tucked into the back of the stroller.
So be it.
Instead, the holidays will bring them other good things, but not handknit socks. And, no, I didn't lose them on purpose...or did I?
Anyway, so without this little project to distract me, progress continues on the U-neck sweater (and have you seen Joanie Loves Tchotchke's version? Gorgeous!). I've decided on elbow length sleeves. For some reason, I think this is a good idea. We'll see.....
Burlington Mall, maybe? I was just there on Saturday.

Welcome back! Nephews don't need socks. It's more Huck Finny that way!

Do you scrunch your sleeves up alot? The 3/4 or elbow sleeves would eliminate wasted knitting, if that is the case. I think that sweater would look good no matter how long the sleeves!
I think you were meant to *misplace* those socks. Really!

Ugh, missing knitting is terrible. I find mine in old knitting bags. I love elbow length sleeves (or actually just below).

Didn't you think they were too big anyway? I'm sure you'll find them before next Christmas and they'll fit better then.

yes, I'm totally knitting that sweater again. And you are right on the sleeves, I shot for elbow length, but overdid it by a few inches. Next time it will be PERFECT, damnit... -shakes fist at all those knitting devils whom somehow sneak in and add or subtract inches of fabric behind your back.
