While I love this pattern (placket sweater from Last Minute Knitted Gifts), it seems like I'm always knitting this damn sweater. Too much of a good thing perhaps. I need to break up with this pattern for awhile.
Yarn: Tatamy Tweed in pumpkin (my favorite cotton/acrylic blend)
And, of course, some vintage buttons from the stash.
Last night I stayed up late to finish a small quilt for a friend. I so pleased with the result. It's nothing fancy, but the colors are very pretty.
The fabrics are a from a fat quarter pack I wrestled away from <a href="http://doggedknits.com/">Ashley</a> at <a href="http://www.spoolsewing.com/">Spool</a>.
I think that they are damn pretty together with the white.
The backing is just some Kona Cotton in an aqua color. But look at those mitered edges. Perfect! Yay me!
Now back to our regularly scheduled program of baby knitting. Le sigh.</p>
I thought I would share a few shots from the trip. We had an extremely lovely time in Ireland. We saw lots of old things (which I love) and were also fortunate to meet up with friends since I was there for a conference. The Ls had a great time.Here's the littlest one riding a stone lion at the hotel.
But the trip was not without its ironies. It was confirmed that the universal parking gods hate me. They hate me good.

And when I got home to the States, there was another birth announcement waiting for me in the mail.
Since the family and I are in Ireland, I am knitting socks. Doesn't everyone knit socks while traveling?
I using Kraemer Yarn's Saucon Sock. Totally wool-free. Very nice, albeit a bit scratchy. The pattern is the Anna sock pattern from Rowan 40. I cast on 72 stitches and plan some calf decreases.
