Suddenly there are babies everywhere.
Pattern: come on, really, don't you know this one? Short sleeve version.
Yarn: Misti Alpaca Hand Paint Pima Silk in Tangerine Fizz. Only one skein needed for the sweater.
This yarn is really, really lovely. Soft, great colors, non-splitty. A dream for cotton knitters. And non-cotton knitters should give it a try too. Just saying.
Maritza's baby shower was this past Sunday. I realized that I needed to knit the sweater on Wednesday. Don't know what to say. It kinda snuck up on me.
Anyway, since Maritza is having a little boy, a little man sweater was in order. Stat. I knit like the wind to finish up this one (at stop lights, in meetings, etc). Given to the happy mama on Sunday along with some simply gorgeous handmade goodies from other talented ladies. Now, where's that baby?

This book is fantastic. Grumperina and others have given it rave reviews. With good reason, it's fantastic. If you need to knit for babies, go out and buy this book. Now.

Lily picked the yarn and I almost lost it. No. More. Pink. But it's her dress and not mine. So, here it is in all its pink glory. And she loves it. Lesson learned. Let kid pick her own yarn.
